The problem we solve

Tax admin shouldn't be the hardest part of running your business.

Deadlines that arrive without warning. An accountant who only surfaces once a year with an invoice. Rules that keep moving, with Making Tax Digital for Income Tax now live for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, and lower bands following from April 2027. Most people who come to us aren't looking for anything clever. They want to know it's handled.

That is the job. One qualified accountant who knows your business, files everything on time, tells you what's coming before it arrives, and explains what the numbers actually mean for you.

You always know the cost

Every engagement is a fixed fee agreed before work starts. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices at year-end.

Deadlines tracked for you

Self-assessment, VAT, payroll and year-end accounts filed on time, with reminders before anything is due.

Straight answers, all year

You deal with a qualified accountant who picks up the phone and keeps you informed all year, not just at year-end.

Ask a question

Yes, in practice. Every UK limited company has to file annual accounts with Companies House and a corporation tax return with HMRC. You can do that yourself, but a qualified accountant makes sure nothing is missed, claims the expenses you're entitled to, and helps you take money out of the company tax efficiently through the right mix of salary, dividends and pension contributions. We handle the whole process, from the bookkeeping to the filings, so you can get on with running the business.

It depends on the size and complexity of your business, but as a rough guide: a sole trader self-assessment return is usually £150 to £400, limited company year-end accounts run from £600 to £2,000 or more, and monthly bookkeeping and payroll packages from £75 to £300 a month. With us it's simpler than that sounds: you get one fixed fee, agreed before any work starts, so you always know exactly what you're paying.

An accountant keeps your books, prepares your accounts and handles the routine filings with HMRC and Companies House. A tax advisor plans ahead, using reliefs and allowances to legally reduce what you owe. Our Director, George Isaacs, is qualified in both: ACCA for accountancy and ATT for tax. So you get both jobs done under one roof, by one person who knows your numbers.

Yes, and it's far less hassle than most people expect. We contact your current accountant, request everything we need under the standard professional handover process, and re-register as your agent with HMRC and Companies House. No awkward conversations for you, we handle it all. Most switches are done within two to three weeks.

You must register once your taxable turnover goes over £90,000 in any rolling 12 month period (the threshold set in April 2024). Below that you can choose to register voluntarily, which sometimes pays off, for example to reclaim VAT on what you buy. We'll tell you straight whether registering makes sense for you, help you pick the right scheme, and keep your returns compliant with Making Tax Digital.

Making Tax Digital is HMRC's rule that you keep records digitally and file through compatible software. It already applies to all VAT registered businesses. For income tax it went live in April 2026 for sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000, and it reaches those over £30,000 in April 2027 and over £20,000 in April 2028. If that's you, we'll set you up on Xero, QuickBooks or Sage and keep you compliant. Our free readiness checklist is a good place to start.

Yes. R&D tax relief is one of the most valuable reliefs available to UK businesses, and one of the most under-claimed. If you're developing new products, software or processes, or solving genuinely difficult technical problems, you may be able to claim. We prepare the technical narrative, the expenditure schedule and the HMRC submission, and we'll tell you honestly if we don't think your work qualifies.

Both, and everything in between: sole traders, freelancers, contractors including CIS subcontractors, landlords, partnerships, LLPs and limited companies. Plenty of our clients start as sole traders, and we tell them if and when setting up a company would save them money. As a rule of thumb that's once profits are consistently above £30,000 to £40,000 a year, though it always depends on your circumstances.

Yes. Our office is in Eccles, and we see clients in person across Greater Manchester, including Salford, Trafford, Bolton and Stockport. We also work with clients further afield over Teams, with cloud accounting and secure document sharing, so distance is rarely a problem. Whatever suits you best.

The firm is led by our Director, George Isaacs, who holds both the ACCA (accountancy) and ATT (tax) qualifications. The firm is registered with the Association of Taxation Technicians for the purposes of Anti-Money Laundering legislation, and is part of Affinity Associates, a UK Top 50 network with over 60 years of experience. In short: local, personal service with a national practice behind it.
